RT4D supports demand-driven, Party-led projects that advance ASEAN economic integration, sustainable development and effective implementation of the Agreement Establishing the ASEAN-Australia-New Zealand Free Trade Area (AANZFTA) and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) Agreement.

Projects are delivered through the AANZFTA Implementation Support Program (AISP), the RCEP Implementation Support Program (RISP) and the Trade and Gender Equality Incubator (TGEI). They respond to priorities identified by FTA Parties, FTA governance bodies and ASEAN partners, helping translate AANZFTA and RCEP commitments into practical action.

RT4D-supported projects include research, advisory services, capacity building, stakeholder engagement and implementation support for approved FTA work programs. They help strengthen coordination, planning, institutional capability and learning, while supporting more transparent, rules-based and inclusive regional trade and investment.
