Our Partnership with MOIC

This project aims to advance gender equality in the policy, practices, and services of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MOIC). Project activities will identify and address structural barriers to inclusive and gender equal policies and practices, intended to result over time in an increase in women in leadership roles. Activities will also increase the capacity of MOIC staff to better understand the gender implications and opportunities under RCEP and other FTAs.

MOIC management that is more representative of the overall population, and more aware of the gender impacts of trade, is expected to result in improved ability to negotiate and implement FTAs to the benefit of all Lao people.

Project Duration: July 2024 –June 2027
